When I was a kid (late '50's/60's), if you had told me I would ever prefer Pepsi to Coke, I would have thought you were nuts.  Then came New Coke.  I switched to Pepsi and never went back.  Since the sodas switched from sugar to corn syrup, Coke can say whatever it wants, it's not the same.

Note to self:  Invent time machine.  Go back to early childhood.  Drink Coke.  Savor the flavor.

There are places, secret places, in this town where you can purchase Kosher For Passover Coca-Cola, made with pure cane sugar.  These are recognizable by the yellow bottle cap.  Usually sold in supermarkets around Passover near Jewish communities.  Also, you can buy Mexican Coke in many bodegas in the city.  They are also made with sugar and sold in old, worn-out re-cycled glass bottles (with the old "painted on" Coca-Cola logos) and labeled "Hecho en Mexico".  The one in my neighborhood also has Mexican Pepsi and Orange Crush.   Always good for a blast from the past!

Boylan's also has a line of sodas made with pure cane sugar and sold in some gourmet delis and health food stores.

Does the new wording in the poll help?

You know, I had my first Thums Up 4 years ago, and I just now realized that there's no B.  I need to go to Jackson Heights and get more.

I thought that was a picture you had doctored.  There really is a Thums Up cola?  I didn't notice the missing b either.  Where in Jackson Heights did they sell it?

No, that stuff really exists.  It's basically Indian Coke, which is why I have to go to JH to get it. I don't remember the name of the place, but there's a big supermarket that has Thums Up, Indian 7-Up and other exotic Indian sodas.

pepsi is awful.

even though i know it's bad for you, i don't have any qualms about liking soda, but i rather have absolutely nothing than drink a pepsi.  i just don't like the taste of it, and truthfully, it makes me a little nauseous.    :-P  BLECK!

it's funny...when new coke came out, it tasted exactly like pepsi....i was so happy when coke classic came back.
