Is it just me, but I really can't stand Susan Waldman/Waltman.

I think it may be her voice with the on again/off again New English accent.

I can't listen to her, her terrible affected accent and mediocre commentating. I'm just glad she's on YES and not SNY

Jose Reyes can hit for the cycle in only two at bats.

David Wright can hit a homer off his backswing.

w00t Cubbies.

Wait until they are contending for the NL Championship and you'll see a bunch of disingenious losers supports the Cubbies.  I sorted of rooted for them in the Bartman year, but I would never say that I was a fan.

It would be nice to see them win a World Series so we can stop hearing about the stupid curse  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curse_of_the_Billy_Goat

Cubs are my NL team, and I miss Soriano and his 40 / 40 seasons.

the Cubs dont make my top 3, but it would be nice to see them get anywhere.
Someone had the 'sense' to pick the Yanks this season. Then they picked the Cubs to beat the Yanks.
Go figure  :|

Ryne Sandberg
Quote
thanked the writers who voted for him because it meant that he played the game the way he had been taught it should be played. He spoke several times of respect for the game, and chided a subset of current players who, in his opinion, lack that respect. Specifically, he spoke of how the game needs more than home run hitters, citing that turning a double-play and laying down a sacrifice bunt are weapons many of today's greats don't value.

Perfect games are rarely seen.
At least last night was a perfect way to open the season.
Good win, good save, many contributions. < Halladay is still a helluva pitcher >

Sometimes a player contributes even though he may not get to first base.

Go YANKS.

Did he ever make the 40/40 club?    ...and isn't he ON the Cubs?

He's one of 4 people ever to do it, the other three being Canseco(<--Mega Turd), Bonds(<--Turd) & ARod(<--Even as a Met fan, gotta respect him)
And yeah, Soriano is still on the Cubbies.

GO METS! Walk it off, Pedro!

It seems Soriano is right where he belongs.

I wish he wasn't gone. But I wouldnt really want to trade any player for him.
