If you google "souvlaki carts"  or "hot dog carts" you'll get some choices.

I also remember seeing some sort of food cart agency on maybe 36th St, (or 35th, or 37th), just south of 31st Ave.

Or maybe walk up to one of the vendors on Steinway, tell him "cool wheels" and get him to tell you all about his cart.

I think the company that can give you the info is on 33rd Street, between 31st Avenue & Broadway.
I always pass it on my way to Brick Cafe.

It's right before you hit the deli on the corner. I don't remember its formal name, but it's some kind of
association for street food vendors. I've seen postings in the window about equipment for sale and stuff
like that.

But I know it's definitely there - we just passed it last Friday night.
Maybe it's in the yellow pages under restaurant equipment.

Since it was a nice evening, I took a walk over there.  Ladydi is right, the place is on 33rd St.   It's

Manhattan Food Vendors Assn
31-05 33rd St
(718) 726-3267

At 6:30 tonight there were people in there filling out papers and such.  As Ladydi mentioned, the window is full of classified ads related to food carts and whatnot, but it was too dark for me to read them tonight.
