Problems adding avatar
« on: July 31, 2007, 09:25:50 PM »
For some reason, I can't upload a jpeg from my desktop to use as my avatar.  I clicked on Browse and selected the file, but when I clicked on the "Change Profile" button the file link was gone.

I have been having this problem too. I thought maybe it was that the file was too big- but I have tried in on photos I have already used. Anyone else experiencing this problem lately?

Looks like the problem is back. I'm not able to upload an avatar image. I just keep getting this error ...

Code: [Select]
An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

I've tried with Firefox, Google Chrome, & Internet Explorer as per a suggestion in another thread.

I know that when I used to run websites as a hobby that sometimes when someone updated the forum/cms scripts by simply copying the new version over the old version it would also copy over the access permission of any folders and subfolders. Just my 2 cents. :-)

This should now be fixed. Let us know if it still doesn't work.
