« on: August 22, 2005, 12:59:08 PM »
Weekly Ultimate pick up game, anyone and everyone are welcome to join us.

Details— Ultimate is an exciting, non-contact team sport, played by thousands the world over. It mixes the best features of sports such as Soccer, Basketball, American Football into an elegantly simple yet fascinating and demanding game.  It’s fun, athletic, and a good way to meet some new people.  If you have any interest at all please join us and we can teach you how to play.

Time and Date: This Sunday 4:00pm

Location: Astoria Park, Ditmars Blvd. and 19th Street.  We are meeting on the green space which is next to the Hellgate Bridge (the one that looks like a red Sydney Harbour Bridge) on the Ditmars Blvd. side.  Look for people with Frisbees.

Hasn't been scheduled yet, but I think the Sunday thing seems to work more or less.   We'll see after this sunday.

Think about bringing a light and a dark colored shirt.  If we have enough people, we might get a real game going.

Don't forget to bring some water to rehydrate, too.

I can't come this week (I have a friend's birthday party to go to), but hope to the following week.  Let us know how things turn out!

Yeah, I had no idea we played for two hours, but I certainly did later on in the evening. It felt great.  Thanks everyone for coming out, I am impressed that we had enough for a game, some 3 on 3 action.  I will write more later on, but just wanted to say what an awesome time I had and that I am looking forward to the next game.
