whoa...quite a statement.

please expand a little.  what have you eaten there that you thought was so good/recommend.

I would be thrilled to have a new sandwhich shop of quality.

hmm I would say it's a toss up between them and Tony and Dave's for Mozz-- and you have to watch in Sorriso's that they give you some that is truly fresh....

Can this place really be better than the place on 23rd ave by 34th street?

Dave and Tony do have good mozz and a killer proscuitti and mozz hero.

I go there practically every saturday to soak up a hangover and have something to eat while watching college gameday.  I have never had a bad sandwich. My favorite is the Scarface -- homemade roast pork thin sliced on a hero with melted fontina, balsamic mayo, lettuce and roasted peppers. they get all their breads from the bakery across the street.

They have a lot of homemade surprised every time I go, as well. You would be doing a disservice to yourself by not going here.

Went there for lunch today.  Great looking shop, very nice guys behind the counter really knew their stuff. Had a thinly sliced roast pork hero with melted cheese and hot peppers but he didnt put on the lettuce and balsamic mayo.  I had told him to make it anyway he wants so I guess thats what I got.  Tasted very very good and not greasy.  I will absolutely go back for another try and do some shopping as well.  There was a large assortment of homemade sausages and meat dishes that looked mightly good.

Two thumbs up!

You are going to be soooo happy there. I think there were at least 2 kinds of chix breast cooked off and waiting for sandwiches plus tons of meats, cheeses and other yummy items.

i just returned from my first trip to Sorrisos.   This place is fantastic.  thank you for the suggestions.  the Scarface was indeed one of the better sandwhiches i have had.  the place reminded me of Lioni's in Brooklyn.

Sorisso's is great! You will never be disappointed with anything you purchase from there. The owner Frank is great and so are all the deli counter guys.  They also make their own sauces which are delicious!!
