Anyone have a recommendation for a shoe repair place (and can vouch for their work) preferably around Ditmars? Thanks!

There's a shop on 28 st. and 23 ave. right around the corner from the bar on 28 st. that is good.

I second this! The guy worked magic on my flats that got chewed up by my doggie. He used a couple piece of similar color leather to patch the heels up. You can't tell they were eaten! He also stretched out my boots so I finally could wear them! The costs of repair or work were nothing if I remember. Both times were less than 20. Try him out!

I use the shoe repair man who is in a tiny shop right at the bottom of the stairs at the Ditmars station.  Take the stairs on the McDonald's side and going towards 23rd Ave.  You can come off the stairs and literally fall right into the shop.  It's the size of a closet.  He does very good work and has long hours.

Another option is Cordwainers on Ditmars between  23 - 24 Streets.
I have used all three and they are good
