I believe it's "ghostriding," and people cite its roots to the Los Angeles area, and the most associated song with the activity is E40's "Tell Me When To Go."

A link from the Urban Dictionary: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ghost+ride+the+whip

If you search for "ghost ride the whip" or "ghostriding" on YouTube, you get some pretty ridiculous results.

I used to ghostride my bike back in the day, but never a car!!!  That was crazy!!!

Yeah, when I first saw a few weeks ago I forwarded it to a friend who is a modern dance choreographer. She thought it was fantastic. :)

A co-worker and I watched Diet Coke and Mentos videos all day a few weeks ago.  It's amazing.

My favorite part about the treadmill video is when they walk across and look like they're ice skating.  That routine must have taken so much practice.

Merm - great video!  He does a wonderful version of Hey Ya!  I like the original a lot, but this was very well done.  I like his voice.

Thanks Dirk. I think it shows how versitile that song is. I didn't like the original that much, but I like it a lot more now strangely :)
