Banned from Astorians.com
« on: January 01, 2014, 01:15:10 PM »
For the past week I haven't been able to access this website from my desktop. Anybody else having this problem? The error message I keep getting is Sorry guest you are banned from using this forum! Spam. This ban is not set to expire.

I guess nobody has this problem, but if anyone does-I did manage to fix it this way: Safari>preferences>privacy>remove all website data. Restart computer.

I've experienced the same issue recently using Safari, and also found that clearing the cache worked.  However, the "ban" did return.  Switching browsers (Chrome) seemed to help.

I just reported this to the moderation team but we're unable to fix technical issues like this.  Hopefully support gets back to us.  Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble :(

It's OK Daisy, I fixed it-at least for now. That was weird, though.
Thanks for the suggestion Tunes, I'll keep it in mind just in case it happens again!

Same problem when using Firefox, even after clearing the cache.  It seems OK with Google Chrome and IE.

Let us know if it keeps being a problem by reporting to moderator.  Support went in and fixed a few things so I hope it's all set now.

It's happened again with Safari. This time I emptied only the Astorians.com cookies and to be safe cleared history which worked and allowed me to view this website.

Hi all,

I've made a couple other configuration changes. Please let me know if you're still having trouble.
