Any plumber recommendations?
« on: December 11, 2013, 09:41:47 PM »
I need a plumber who can troubleshoot a cranky residential hot water boiler.  I've checked the basics but due to the age & rust of the unit I'm afraid of going too deep and causing a major flood.

I saw from back in 2009 there were a few recommendations for A-Farr Plumbing & Heating but I haven't found anything more recent.

Anyone have a good experience with someone that they'd recommend?

Hi my name is Dean and I am a fully experienced plumber and carpenter. I can come and asses the trouble im also in Astoria,
Do you run the boiler clean off the dirty water at least once a month? This needs to be done often otherwise boiler wont work properly and will make a ton os clanking noises.

Hi, my name is Dean.

I'm in an apartment building so I don't have to deal with boiler issues directly, but I've had good experiences with Union Plumbing.  They've been great about fixing my 75-year-old shower fixtures, even getting parts at a shop in Tribeca that makes discontinued plumbing hardware.
