PS 122 after-school program
« on: July 01, 2013, 11:52:08 AM »
Hi,

We recently moved to the neighborhood and my son is going to attend the PS 122 3rd grade for this coming September. I am just wondering if anybody can shed some light on the school's after-school programs or if there is a community house/outside companies that offer after-school programs?

Thanks a lot!

It is really not that great and it is rather poorly organized, which is a shame since the school itself is excellent.  We have our daughter bused from ps 122 to PS85 (the Vallone school), whose "serious fun" after school program is truly excellent and filled with all kinds of organized activities. Check it out, you might like it.

Thanks a lot! Is there a bus service between the two schools or parents have to do it themselves? Is there a website about the PS 85 after-school?

Yes there is a shuttle bus. You have to contract them and the children get delivered to the bus and to serious fun by the teachers and the bus attendant (they don't go looking for the bus themselves).
