Still looking for a new toaster oven
« on: April 02, 2012, 07:37:41 AM »
Now that our son is older we definitely have a need for one.  Don't want to give up mass counter space.  What I really want is one of those small simple cheap ones from the 70's and 80's.  Ya know, like you still see at the sushi joints.  The ones they use for broiling eel.

All we will be doing is toast, grilled cheese, chix nuggets, etc...  I do not need a $200 Cooks Illustrated recommended toaster oven.

High watts
Low price
Small footprint

HELP!!!!

This caught my eye since I couldn't live w/out my Black & Decker toaster oven.

Don't know if you've solved your problem, but I usually get mine at PC Richards.

Here's a link - they're always reasonable and they're usually in stock for pick-up:

I've had this one for awhile and it works very well.

Good luck.

Bed bath has a bunch of them and you can use the 20% coupons . Its has an amazing return policy as ours broke and 2 yrs later they took it back with no questions .

Thanks.  This will do.  It just kills me to look at the reviews on Amazon.  It is impossible to find a toaster with over all good reviews.  Time to just suck it up and buy a stupid toaster oven.

If you haven't gotten one yet, I would recommend the following model.

It toasts bread, works as a small convection oven, broiler etc. It's quite useful if you don't want to use the regular oven and don't need the large size.
