I think Carolyn comported herself well and stood up for her record.  I was less impressed by Saujani.

This campaign has the be the most expensive in local history. So far I had at least 6 people ringing my bell and asking me to vote for Maloney or Reshma. All my years in Astoria I've never had even one person ringing my bell, this year it's out of control. Several mailing a week. I got 3 from Maloney just today. Isn't this overkill?

I just came home to 7 big cardboard mailings, 4 of which were for Carolyn and 1 each for the Democrats running for Attorney General.  An email would have sufficed.  Geez.

I musta got the same 7.

I got one from Reshma that was extremely negative. One side has the Capitol on fire with the following wording

Members of Congress
under
Ethics Investigations

Is Carolyn Maloney Next?

maybe Reshma is stopping lying and saying that Carolyn is already under investigation?  I didn't get any of the mailings today - maybe tomorrow they'll arrive.

It has been so peaceful since Maloney was first elected a long long time ago
so this is unusual

"Is Maloney Next?" Ugh, really?

If Reshma has nothing better to offer than baseless insinuations, she's wasting our time.

She hasn't had anything to offer yet, so why start now?  I agree that she's wasting our time and that she's killing trees with all her mailings about Uganda, Idi Amin, lies about Maloney and Arizona.

I think they're all wasting trees - I've gotten 6 from Carolyn in the last 2 days, not to mention a bunch from the others.  It's getting really annoying.  They must all be sharing addresses.

Generally all the campaigns just buy the lists of voters and then parse it according to who their "universe" is - who they are targeting.  If you vote regularly, you're going to get all the mail.

Well, damn....maybe if I don't vote in the primaries......I will save a tree or two. Or at least a branch.

Interestingly, my ex has gotten more mailings (at my address) from both campaigns than I have -- and she's lived in California for the last 5 years and hasn't voted in a NY election since 2005.

Whatever mailing list they're using is apparently really out-of-date.

The mailings I'm getting combine both my Partner and I on the mailing label. Kinda cool.
