Watch USA v England, 2:30pm on Saturday, for a small taste of World Cup action.

The World Cup is one month of pure joy.

If you're stuck on first, you're going to miss out.

Hmmm... if I am back from my Queens exploration by then, I might stop by a bar and check it out.  Thanks, mangopaco!

P.S. For a long time I thought you were holding a fish in your hands in your avatar, now I know better.   :-)

The graphic has some curious watching suggestions. But it is cool to see where are the various populations around the city.

I wrote about that sound on the NJ.com World Cup blog:
http://blog.nj.com/red-bulls-fans/2010/06/ban_the_vuvuzelas_please.html

Unfortunately, FIFA doesn't listen to lil'ol bloggers like me and made a decision yesterday to not ban them.  Something about being culturally respectful.

Some good news today is that the companies they're using to broadcast the games are going to filter out the background noise, so hopefully the BZZZZZZZZZZZZZ will decrease:

Not a fan of losing the sound of crowd cheers and songs, but I can't stand the buzzing.

Based on the ads for it, it looks like Studio Square is broadcasting all the games.  Also, I would check the Brewhouse on 31st street off of 30th Avenue.
