DOT Offers Free Bike Helmets at Two Queens Locations - June 23 and June 27
The Department of Transportation will give away free bike helmets while supplies last on Tuesday, June 23 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Plaza del Sol Family Health Center, 37-16 108th Street in Corona in partnership with Health Plus, and on Saturday, June 27 from noon to 4:00 pm at Bayswater Park in Far Rockaway in partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation and Rockaway Waterfront Alliance.
You must be present to get a helmet, and you must learn how to properly fit and wear a helmet before you receive it. A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign a waiver for children under age 18. Adults over age 18 receiving a helmet must sign a waiver.
