Definitely don't feel bad kempsternyc.  A fellow Astorian sent me the following message way back when on how to post an image.  Hope it helps.

Go to Photobucket and open an account.

Search the net for a photo or image representing what you want to say (and save it to your computer)*, or use a photo/image you already have stored on your computer/phone/ or in an e-mail.

Go to your Photobucket album and upload the photo/image there.

Once the image is saved in Photobucket, click the Direct Link choice below the image and it will display a message saying the url has been copied.

On the Astorians reply form, click the Insert Image button above the message area.  Brackets will be inserted in the message field.  Put your cursor in the brackets and paste the Direct Link url.

Use the Preview feature to make sure the image has appeared.  Add any additional text and Post!  I usually get the timed out message when I preview, but I just click Post again and the reply is posted.

Thanks AJ. I thought I was being a dunce.

I'll just move the pics I want to post from my Flickr to Photobucket.

Thanks again.

NO, for heaven's sake NO! You can source them here from ANYWHERE.

Go to your Flickr home page.

Click on a picture you want to show up on Astorians.

Now isolate that picture (I think on a pc it is ALT + CLICK) and a new window will open.

Copy the URL of the isolated picture and post it here by inserting the URL between these two commands:
{=[         and         }=]
{img} YOUR URL {/img}

Close.

1) You didn't isolate your picture. There should be nothing on the page except the picture before you copy the URL.

2) {=[         and         }=]        DO NO USE THE { AND }. They were there only as an example.

3) Click QUOTE and look at the correct formattiing.
