I just passed by the old Thessaloniki Pastries on 31st Avenue and 34th Street; there's plywood on the outside and a sign saying "Bare Burgers" is coming.  Apparently, they're going to be offering organic burgers, shakes, etc.

They have a website:

http://www.bareburger.com/

But it doesn't have much information in it.  I emailed them and will pass on what I learn.

Thanks so much for the info, Megc. This place sounds really intriguing - I can't wait to check out their bison and ostrich burgers!

I came on looking for some gossip on this. I walked by the other week while doing laundry and spoke to one of the owners (I think) who said they're getting licenses together and it should be about 1 more month. Organic beers, grass-fed burgers and other crazy burgers--like ostrich he mentioned.

Anyone else have any news? They're just east of Himalayan Tea House where that old sketchy Greek bakery used to be.

Went by it today. Looks shiny and yellow!
There's brown paper covering the windows.

The side was wide open -- looks like a roll up window/wall/gate-type thing. You could see inside... looks nice and definitely almost ready for opening.

Looking forward to seeing the menu!
