Astoria Moms benefit for Autism
« on: March 03, 2009, 12:04:09 AM »
If a night on the town is just what you need,
Come spend it with us…it’s for Charity.
A simple donation of $5 at the door,
Will gain your entrance to music and more.

Every charity needs lots of cash,

That's why we're to hold our Waltz-Astoria bash.

We invite all of you and the world to come
To help make some money and of course have some fun.

Thursday, March 26th is the date,
8pm is the start time…so please don't be late!
Sorry kids...its Adults only that night,
And I promise they'll be home by mornings first light.

Cappuccino, biscotti, or nice glass of wine
To finish off the evening, now that's sounds divine.
A food and drink minimum of $10 is requested,
And just think of all the deliciousness you will have ingested.

It's a wonderful cause and a small price to pay
In hopes of finding a cure for Autism one day!
The more hand we have, the more lives we can touch...
please be sure to attend and THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Great cause. There's a really interesting article about autism in Salon.com today, written by the mother of an autistic kid with violent tendencies (rare, but very difficult to deal with).

Good luck with the fundraiser!
