Thanks, all!  Definitely not how I pictured it being cropped and looking up there, but it's very cool!  It feels like a bit of a fantasy world.

Gorgeous! Great picture by eblack and some great cropping, too!

How difficult would it be for us to make a flickr account with all of the entries from the banner contests? It would be cool to have them saved somewhere as a little communit snapshot of Astoria.

It's a canon powershot SD500.  Point and shoot cameras are pretty amazing these days.  I may have actually had it on the "snow" setting.

I agree, it's beautiful. But it would've been nice to see it up sooner- this is the time of year when I can't stand the cold anymore......ah but if only it would snow........ :mrgreen:
