Thanks:

Astoria has at least two community gardens. ARROW is on 35th between 35th+36th Aves. Two Coves is at 30th Ave/Astoria Blvd and 8th St.

Though I think more are in order! I've been eyeing that empty lot behind Museum of Moving Image across from Kaufman. A PERFECT spot for a garden b/c it's full sun and not blocked. I know MoMI is expanding, but I don't think they're taking over the whole lot (only to where the new fence is) and I think the lot is owned by Kaufman for potential future expansion (though my feeling is they have the parking lot and can always build on top of that.

Yeah, that lot across from Kaufman is part of the long term expansion plans which should be starting later this summer/ fall.  They also eventualy hope to close off 36th street for that block.  The NY times had an article about it recently.

I agree more are in order.  We have a small terrace garden going, but I would love to get some more space and some more things growing.
