The Queens Borough Public Library Adult Learning Center on 31 St. is always looking for volunteers to assist students with ESOL.

the library here at 31st street and ditmars (called the Steinway branch) looks for volunteers for ESOL too.

have you looked at
www.volunteermatch.org?

grab someone's yellow pages and look at social services, etc... there's non profits on every corner here in new york.

if you belong to a church/religious institution, they may need help with their activities too.

the possibilities are endless!

(i used to work as a coordinator for Community Service at a university before i came to nyc. :) )
